MARU, the first night as a Maharaja while waiting the start of the race.

The location we chose for our first night in India is not accidental. We want to give all runners a taste of regal, colonial India that is in the imagination of all of us, so the choice fell to the fabulous Gajner Palace, a genuine royal palace, owned by the Maharaja of Bikaner who used it as a residence summer in the early twentieth century (Bikaner is situated about 30 km). Subsequently, at the time of the British, the area and structure were used as a hunting reserve. Today the building has become a Heritage Hotel, it really is impressive, built in red brick on the shores of Lake Gajner, inhabited by birds, especially parrots. Feel just arrived a few hundred birds singing in unison! Today the whole area is a nature reserve. The furniture is original, and during your stay you can enjoy the immense terrace, sipping a cocktail and listening to live Indian music...
